COM Security officials for Gov. Linda Lingle and police gathered on the fifth floor of the state Capitol yesterday after the Governor?s Office received a letter with a suspicious white powder in it. Hazmat investigators were also called in as the area was sealed off. Preliminary tests indicated the substance was cornstarch but it will undergo further analysis. The letter is one of several similar letters that were sent to governors around the nation.
