(CLICK PHT to see photo gallery from Giants’ 2007 season) Speaking for the first time since his comments implying that Patriots offensive tackle Matt Light was a dirty player aired on HB’s “Inside the NFL” Giants Pro Bowl defensive end si Umenyiora did not back away from his point but did try to explain it further. He said that Light quarterback Tom Brady’s chief bodyguard on the field is one of the top three offensive tackles he has faced this season but that Light went too far in the Patriots’ Dec. 29 win over the Giants. “He’s a good football player a very very good football player very talented and athletic he just did a couple things he shouldn’t have done” Umenyiora said Friday.

If Prefix’s plans work out "Imprints" will eventually decamp to Winnipeg after its debut here and then to the United States. Roca is also probably behind the naming of the exhibition since he sees memorials themselves as being entirely ephemeral. He points to Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s novel ne Hundred Years of Solitude and its fictional town assailed by a pandemic of memory loss with its citizens frantically fixing written words to objects "in a futile attempt to capture memory by means of language" Roca says. "Time erases context to the point where images and words cease to refer to anything beyond their own existence… "In recent years a noticeable number of exhibitions connected to Latin America have been given over to the subject of missing persons. Last year El Museo del Barrio in New York City hosted 14 Latin American artists in "Los Desaparecidos" ("The Disappeared"). Two years back A Space Gallery presented a group show called "Tracking Absence" with Photos y Recuerdos (Photos and Memories) where Vancouver textile artist Deborah Koenker recalled some 500 women who were murdered or disappeared in Juarez Mexico. " Muñoz’s ongoing Narcissus series consists of a series of self-portraits screen printed on the surface of a small reservoir of water. Aspects of the original image are left on the bottom of the container after the water has completely evaporated.

The family in need is that of an Albuquerque minister Gerald Martinez his wife Liesa Martinez and their children Levi Bethany Maggie-Jean and Allie. The Martinez family was chosen because of its ministry work in helping troubled people in the southeastern part of the city. Production forced the gallery to close its doors for two hours. Five different shots were used in the taping but it was the attention to detail and repetitiveness that drew Ross and Hahn’s attention. “It was hard to pretend to meet someone for the first time after you had met them before” Hahn said. “It was a very exciting time here though. “And then having to do another take of the scene and introduce yourself all over again” Ross added.
