Microsoft Buys Startup to Boost Web Mobile Services

Microsoft divides its Windows Live offerings into two sets — online services such as Windows Live Hotmail and applications that users install on their PCs such as Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Photo Gallery. Microsoft also purchased digital media services agency aQuantive for US$6 billion this year a deal that closed in August and was the company’s most expensive acquisition to date. So far however its online investments have not done much to boost SG revenue and analysts remain critical of the company’s efforts. I dropped off marketing materials for them to review before our meeting. (1 hour-time spent) At our second meeting I came prepared with a sample marketing flyer a sample photo gallery marketing plan statistics and a market analysis. (2 hours- time spent) During our second meeting we reviewed these materials. (1 hours-time spent) When we finished our discussion they thanked me and mentioned they already had a buyer for their home! They had wanted to check with me about price since I have sold a number of homes in the neighborhood. Now why didn’t they just tell me their situation and ask me for a price opinion? Since I knew the neighborhood really well it would have been easy to do the same work for them as I had done for Mr.
