Apple offers iPhoto as part of the iLife package with S X and Microsoft includes Windows Photo Gallery with Vista. Although Photo Gallery provides some basic editing abilities it’s more geared toward organizing your photos. As soon as you save a picture for example Photo Gallery asks you to rate the photo and add a tag (or tags) to the image making it easy to locate pictures by subject later. You can remove red-eye in Photo Gallery as well as crop flip and rotate pictures. Slider controls let you adjust brightness contrast color temperature tint and saturation.

Though the subject matter could not have been more serious the mood as at all of Mr. von Zeitschel’s parties sparkled with flirtatious revelry. Elliott Erwitt and David Hurn the famous Magnum photographers crowded next to D… ” Some guests came for the art. “This is the best picture” Mr. Erwitt said pointing to a giant Pellegrin photo near the foosball table (where guests clutched Peronis and avidly joggled the player bars) that showed an anguished man standing amid rubble. “It almost looks like a Caravaggio” Mr. von Zeitschel said. Scott Anderson the journalist who accompanied Mr. Pellegrin through Lebanon said that the photograph showed a man at the moment the body of his 10-year-old daughter was found.
